Air Berlin flight diverted to Daytona Beach airport due to smoke in cockpit
Air Berlin flight 7416 flying from Dusseldorf, Germany to Cancun, Mexico made an emergency landing due to smoke in the cockpit.
The Airbus 330-200 was diverted to Daytona Beach International just after 1 p.m. local time after smoke started filling the cockpit, the FAA confirmed to Fox 35.
Air Berlin tweeted that the flight landed safely and no on on board was injured. A total of 271 passengers and 12 crew were reported to be on board.
The cause has not been determined. Airline officials also tweeted that an investigation will be carry out.
